After a long period of waiting and intense deliberation I finally made the decision to complete the guitar tracking myself. It wasn’t an easy decision to make because it basically spells the end of any sort of band contribution at the writing level, not to mention the live aspect of the band. There came a point in the recording process where the other band members needed to step up to contribute their ideas but due to other band commitments and time constraints they weren’t able to find the time.  I have been forced into a situation where I either wait for everyone to become available or simply forge ahead on my own.  Actually, there was another alternative but that meant replacing band member and starting from scratch and I’m a bit sick of constantly waiting for others to contribute and then begin held hostage by the lack of commitment, so that wasn’t too appealing.  So here I am, back to where I started, Mech Org is now a studio project once again.  It’s a pity that some of the band members couldn’t find the time to give Mech Org 100% because there was a period where everything seemed to be coming together.  Rehearsals were getting close to sounding great, the new album was coming along nicely and on a personal level everyone was getting along.  But you’re only as strong as your weakest link, and if certain people simply can not find the time to play a role in the bands continued evolution then everything stagnates and eventually dies.
