Yesterday I received a spanking new Master and reference discs in the mail.  Well, I didn’t find them till this morning.  Yesterday morning I went and had a look in the mail box because I had a feeling the discs would arrive but I must have looked a little too early.  As I was leaving for work today, there they were.  I didn’t even think to check the mail box again in the afternoon.  I was really wrapped up in working on the new Pathway to Perception CD and it completely slipped my mind.  It was probably for the best because I would have spent most of the day listening to the new reference disc and encoding and tagging all the digital files for release.  I guess that’s what I’ll be doing tonight!  I will post my thoughts in a couple of days when I’ve had a chance digest it. 

I’ve been keeping myself busy lately preparing for the release of the new album.  The website is just about finished.  I’ve just put the finishing touches to my new online store which will contain all the Mechanical Organic releases.  I’ve decided to release all my music in three different digital formats, MP3 320kbps, Ogg Vorbis and Flac.  I think that’s a pretty wide spectrum of formats and should please most people.  On the weekend I also found the time to make a couple of Flash Banners for promo purposes.  The plan is to create a couple of animated Gif banners as well just to cover websites that don’t allow Flash.  Both banners look pretty cool and eye catching.
  So, over the next couple of weeks or so I will be finalising all the web based stuff, ripping all the music to the three digital formats stated above, tagging all the songs with lyrics and artwork and organising the promo CD and packaging.  There is still so much to do but things have really begun to pick up momentum.  One foot in front of the other at this stage I’m afraid.
